Graham McLaren's lavish, spectacular and unashamedly theatrical production brings a haunting Gothic wonder to Jo Clifford's universally acclaimed adaptation of Dickens’ most popular novel. The epic story of unrequited love of a young boy who becomes a gentleman unfolds as Pip looks back on his young self and his 'great expectations'. A dramatic and emotional tale that introduces some of the most memorable characters ever created: the beautiful yet chilling Estella, the tragic and mysterious Miss Havisham, the terrifying convict Magwitch, the manipulative Jaggers; along with a talented cast of bizarre, comic and absurd characters. ★★★★ 'PURE THEATRE' The Times ★★★★ 'A RESOUNDING SUCCESS' Sunday Telegraph

Chantry Dance is a Theatrical Contemporary Ballet founded in May 2012 with a debut performance at Sadler’s Wells in Li Binquan’s Chinese Calligraphy, Music and Dance Concert. This unique performance saw the fledging Chantry company not only dance on the main stage of one of Europe’s biggest dance houses, but also have their performance broadcast to the whole of China. Now, in 2020 the company is known for producing touring narrative contemporary ballets which are either original stories or innovative re-imaginings of well-known tales. The dancers of the company are highly experienced artists, who have worked with some of the most prestigious companies in the world such as San Francisco Ballet, The Royal Opera House and Northern Ballet. Chantry Dance is headed by co-Artistic Directors Rae Piper and Paul Chantry - a vibrant and skilled dance couple and choreographic duo whose work includes West End productions of the Olivier-nominated David Walliams’ Gangsta Granny, and Billionaire Boy, several of the Horrible Histories stage shows, Contemporary Dance works, Ballet, Opera, and Musicals.
